Magnaflux Pe Fluorescent Penetrant ZL-27A

Magnaflux Pe Fluorescent Penetrant ZL-27A is the highest quality low temperature solution of pure aromatic hydrocarbons. It is explicitly designed to fill the requirements of critical metal parts in aircraft engine and rocket motor applications. ZL-27A can be used with high accuracy visual inspection equipment (fluoroscopy). It is especially effective for locating porosity and porosity during ultrasonic or electrochemical tests and fractures inside the welded structure. It is also used to detect voids in the metal parts and cracks in axles and bearings.

The method of detecting defects in metal substrates is through dissolved oxygen within the sample leaving behind a fluorescent residue following illumination with ultraviolet light. Additionally, this product has been treated with a catalyst to generate transient fluorescence under ultraviolet light. It's designed for welded structures of cast aluminium, cast iron and steel, or any carbon steel parts that require greater adhering qualities. It is formulated with select additives to provide superior lubricity and fluorescence. This product resists moisture and corrosion, has a sulfide-free content lower than 1000 ppm, has a flash point > 200 F, is compatible with tin based plating systems and contains no hydrogen sulfide solvents.
