The FRL unit typically consists of three main components: a filter, a regulator, and an air lubricator, each serving a specific function in maintaining the quality, pressure, and lubrication of the compressed air. Filter: The filter component of the FRL unit is designed to remove contaminants such as dirt, dust, moisture, oil, and other particles from the compressed air stream. This helps protect downstream equipment from damage, prevents clogging of valves and actuators, and ensures the quality and purity of the compressed air. Filters may use various filtration media, such as sintered bronze, activated carbon, or synthetic fibers, to trap and remove contaminants from the air. Regulator: The regulator component of the FRL unit is responsible for controlling and maintaining the pressure of the compressed air within a specified range.
