What is Land Mower?

A land mower is a machine required in gardening that uses its blades to maintain the grass up-to a uniform level. The electric land mower is driven by electricity and the petrol lawnmower runs on petrol. Smaller mowers need manual human effort whereas the larger ones are self-propelled or fall in the walk-behind category.

List of Different Types of Land Mower

1)Manual Reel Mower

It is the traditional land mower that spins its blades on pushing. Owing to the absence of engine, it is sound-free, eco-friendly and low on maintenance. It cuts grasses smoothly and is a perfect choice for small yards.

2)Electric mowers

They are further categorized as corded and cordless mowers. Both do not create any noise pollution and are relatively quiet during operations. The only difference lies in the fact that corded mowers consume electricity and are area-limited whereas the cordless ones are battery-operated and non-area-specific.

3)Riding mowers

They are a good option for medium-sized lawns. They have a vent in the sides from where the cut grass is disposed off. Ride-on mowers have a rider on it in order to move and control them, like the lawn tractor.

4)Zero-turn mowers

These are contrary to the residential lawn tractors, designed to mow large patches of land at a high speed. Zero-turn mower is a riding lawn mower with a turning radius that is normally zero.

5)Push lawn mowers

They cut grass into fine shredded pieces. Since pushing is required, they are best suited for small lawns. The only difficulty lies in sharpening the blades and their limited height adjustment.

6)Lawn Tractors

Used for large yards, these typically have a powerful motor which makes the mowing operation very speedy. They are comfortable to ride and can be driven in mostly all terrains.

When choosing the Right Lawn Mower

lawn mower for the garden, people consider the price, brand or the specifications of the mower but the most vital aspect that needs to be taken into account is the size, topography, and terrain of the lawn. Depending on these factors, a suitable choice for the right mower can be made.
